What is AST?
Elevate Aviation Learning Centre (EALC) has partnered with Canadian Council for Aviation and Aerospace (CCAA) to deliver the Aircraft Service Technician (AST) program. CCAA training is fully aligned with our industry-leading National Occupational Standards and provides participants with specific and in-depth industry knowledge.
Our AST program is an 8 week program suitable for participants with or without post-secondary education. Participants will gain insight into various maintenance roles within the industry and develop foundational knowledge for a new or changing career path within aviation or aerospace.
Workplace Essential Skill Development
This program’s unique structure provides basic Aircraft Service Technician training as well as workplace essential skills customized to respond to the specific needs of the work environment and support the chances of long term success in the workplace. Courses include:

Aircraft Service Technician (AST)
The Aircraft Service Technician (AST) is an 8 week program developed for individuals new to the aviation and aerospace industry, or workers wanting to increase their understanding of the industry. This program’s unique structure provides basic occupational skills training as well as workforce essential skills elective courses based on their own learning need. The AST program consists of multiple delivery methods that may include online, virtual, classroom or on-the-job training.
AST is suitable for participants with or without post-secondary education. Participants will gain insight into various roles within the industry and develop foundational knowledge for a new or changing career path within aviation or aerospace.

Session Duration: 8 weeks
Participants: 12 per session
Format: Primarily in-person, some virtual seats available
Venue: Elevate Aviation Learning Centre at the Edmonton International Airport
