Aviation Career Exploration (ACE), is a week-long, site-based program for students ages 11–18. ACE fosters active engagement through immersive activities, presentations and hands-on exploration in a journey of learning about careers in the aviation industry. It is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the basics of aviation and what kind of careers are available in the exciting aviation industry.

This program is currently offered in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver and available from October to June.

What is ACE?

ACE is an immersive aviation field trip that takes students inside the airport environment to experience the world of aviation up close. Through hands-on activities and direct connections with industry professionals, students discover the exciting careers that keep our skies moving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ACE cost?

For a full week, group booking ACE is $1,000

What are the transportation requirements?

Schools or groups must provide their own transportation to and from the designated meeting locations at the airport each morning and afternoon. Any transportation required throughout the day to visit various partner sites is provided.

How large of a group can be accommodated?

The maximum number of participants is 32 including all adults and chaperones.

What are the times for each day?

Monday-Friday 0915-1415; please advise if your school has early dismissal and we will adjust the schedule to accommodate this.

How many chaperones are needed?

The number of parent chaperones required is based on individual school requirements. Our ACE Facilitator will be with your group the entire week, leading them to each location and guiding the experience.

What does the group need to bring?

Elevate Aviation provides name tags, pens, and notebooks. Participants need to bring a lunch, water bottle, enthusiasm and close toed shoes.

What are the liabilities and waivers required?

There are no insurance requirements, however the students must complete Elevate Aviation’s photo waiver and liability form prior to attending. Additional field trip liability forms required by the school or group are at your own discretion. Download Elevate Aviation’s waiver form here.
